George Storey is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of GRS Counseling, an independent private practice located within the Restoring Hope Counseling offices in Troy, Alabama. He brings extensive experience across social services, non-profits, and mental health care, with a background that includes directing youth and GED programs, counseling individuals through substance use recovery, and supporting foster children as they transition into adoptive homes.

Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, George graduated from Huntsville High School and earned his Bachelor’s in Psychology before completing his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Troy University.

George's counseling approach centers on empowering clients to make the best choices for their own lives. Trained in trauma-informed care, he provides LGBTQ+-affirming and neurodiversity-affirming support for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and major life transitions.

When not working with clients, George enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, playing guitar, reading, and gaming.
